Scientific and tеchnical cooperation
Ireland takes part in scientific and educational EU projects for Ukraine, among them «European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument», «TEMPUS».
The scientific priorities for Ukraine and Ireland coincide, they include in particular: researches in chemistry and pharmacy, computer technologies, telecommunications, healthcare, new materials construction.
On 14 July 2011 the Ambassador of Ukraine met with the chief executive officers as well as leading scientific researchers of the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI) in Galway. During the visit perspectives of cooperation with Ukrainian research institutes along with joint commercial projects were discussed.
The Embassy actively works at establishing cooperation between Ukrainian and Irish higher educational institutions for training of students, joint educational programmes, preparation of specialists, postgraduate students and doctors. There are new perspectives for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in energy saving and renewable technologies sectors.
