Trade and economic relations of Ukraine and Ireland
The total volume of bilateral trade in goods and services between Ukraine and Ireland has declined by 33% in January-September 2014 in comparison with the same period of 2013, reaching $212 million. Exports of goods and services dropped by 38%, reaching $ 92,9 million. Imports of goods and services decreased by 28% to $ 119.1 million. Trade balance for Ukraine is negative – $ 26.2 million.
In the January-November 2014 trade in goods decreased by 36% to $ 178 million. Exports decreased by 47% to $ 56 million. Imports decreased by 29% to $ 122 million. Trade balance for Ukraine is negative – $ 66 million.
In the first half of 2014 investments from Ireland to Ukraine grew by 3%, reaching $ 72.1 million. Irish investments were mainly allocated in the enterprises of food processing industry – 51%, telecommunications – 24%, wholesale and retail – 13%.
