During the meeting a wide range of issues of Ukraine – Ireland cooperation was discussed. The sides noted with satisfaction an upward dynamics of bilateral relations in last several years which was recently confirmed by the official visit of Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann Sean Barrett T.D. to Ukraine (8-11 October 2013).

Special attention was paid to Ukraine's European integration issues and preparations for the Vilnius Summit of the "Eastern Partnership ". In this regard, the Minister P.Donohoe confirmed Ireland’s constant support to European aspirations of Ukraine and in particular signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU at the Vilnius Summit.
