On 5 March 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to Ireland Sergii Reva addressed the Joint Committee on International Affairs and Trade of the Oireachtas, dedicated to the situation in Ukraine.

Ambassador draws attention of the Irish parliamentarians to the fact that Russian aggression against Ukraine, which is a brutal breach of International Law, poses a danger for the whole Europe.

S.Reva stressed that accusations by the Russian Federation as to alleged oppression of the Russian speaking population in Ukraine are groundless. 

Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Government of Ireland and not indifferent Irish people for support of Ukraine as well as their condemnation of aggressive actions of Russia.

Ambassador called to make every effort to stop Russia’s aggression and to prevent war in the geographical centre of Europe.
