In this event, a panel of high-level speakers from the EU, Ireland and the Associated Countries of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will present their vision for the future of the Eastern Partnership (EaP). Taking account of the upcoming milestones of the EaP, the speakers will consider the next steps towards EU integration: full implementation of the Association Agreements, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas; the prospects for gradual integration into the Single Market; strengthening the integration of EU law at national level; developing the investment climate and business environment; deepening connectivity; and strengthening the role of youth participation in the EaP.
Speakers for this event will include: Mr. Lawrence Meredith, Director, Neighbourhood East and Institution Building, European Commission; Ms. Salome Shapakidze, Head of EU Integration Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Mr. Vladimir Cuc, Acting Head of European Integration Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova; Ms. Maryna Mykhailenko, Director of the Department for the European Union and NATO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; and Mr. Joe Hackett, Assistant Secretary, Director General, European Union Division, Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland.
