On 21 January 2015 the Select Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee of the Dáil considered the motion seeking the approval of the Dáil for the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
Presenting the motion jointly with other two motions on Association Agreements with Georgia and Moldova, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Charlie Flanagan TD underlined the importance of the Agreement for strengthening of political dialogue and enhancement of economic relations with Ukraine. The Minister put an emphasis on the entry into force by the Agreement on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone as an integral part of the Association Agreement.
The overwhelming majority of the Committee members supported the motion seeking the ratification of the Agreement, which is expected to take place at the Dáil plenary session in the near future.
