Ambassador Sergii Reva in his interview to the “RTE1” radio programme “Morning Ireland” emphasized that the Minsk Agreements were and continued to be the basis for peaceful settlement of the situation in the East of Ukraine.
Ukraine seeks a political settlement of the crisis. However, against the backdrop of the renewed offensive by the pro-Russian separatists, backed by Russia, Ukraine needs help, including military one.
Unfortunately, civilians are still dying in the conflict zone. This is a direct consequence of the disregard by Russia-backed militants and Russia of the international community’s calls for ceasefire and abidance by the Minsk Agreements, - the Ambassador said.
