On March 12 an opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “Ukraine: Inspiring Dignity” was held in the European Union House in Dublin.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of Irish political circles and public, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, diplomatic corps and the Ukrainian community in Ireland.
Opening the event, the Counsellor of the Embassy Serhii Romanenko noted that the "Revolution of Dignity" in Ukraine was a turning point in the history of independent Ukraine, which primary result was an unprecedented rise of national consciousness of the Ukrainian people and the implementation of Ukraine’s European integration course.
Ukrainian diplomat expressed gratitude for the consistent support of Ireland for Ukraine’s European aspirations, recently confirmed once again by the Dail’s ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
The Head of the European Commission in Ireland Barbara Nolan and the Lithuanian Ambassador Rasa Adomaitiene expressed support for the people of Ukraine by the EU and its Member States.
The exhibition became the final event of a series of cultural events conducted by the Embassy to mark the first anniversary of the "Revolution of Dignity" in Ukraine.
