On 16 July 2012 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Ireland H.E. Mr. Sergii Reva had a meeting with Mr.Pat Smith, General Secretary of the Irish Farmers’ Association.

In the view of the last visit of the IFA delegation to Ukraine in January 2012 the present stay and perspectives of Ukraine-Ireland cooperation in the agricultural field were discussed.

The Irish Party highly assessed the possibilities of Ukrainian agrarian sector as well as attractiveness for investment into a number of Ukrainian enterprises.

Some positive trends were pointed out, among them the resuming of shipment from Ukraine to Ireland of fertilizers and the increase in exports of Ukrainian grains.
