The event was attended by Cllr. Terry Shannon, Lord-Mayor of Cork, other local authorities, representatives of local civic organisations and catholic church, volunteers of Greater Chernobyl Cause” charity organisation and the Embassy’s staff.

In his speech H.E. Mr. Sergii Reva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Ireland, expressed gratitude to “Greater Chernobyl Cause” founder Ms.Fiona Corcoran and her volunteers for activities aimed on realisation of international humanitarian programmes

The ceremony included a common prayer, poem readings, roll call victims of Chernobyl and candle light, minute of silence, laying wreath etc.
