On the 1st of April, 2017 Ukraine and Ireland mark the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations as both states signed the Protocol on establishing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Ireland in 1992.
Over the past quarter-century the Ukrainian-Irish relations have been developing on the basis of friendship, trust and mutual respect. Ireland, that was among the first countries in the world to recognize the independence of Ukraine, today remains a reliable partner of Ukraine in the international arena, as well as among the European Union member states. The Ireland’s support has been particularly felt as Ukraine was facing unprecedented challenges to its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Ireland is fully confident in further successful development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between both states, and takes this opportunity to extend heartfelt wishes of peace, well-being and prosperity to the peoples of Ukraine and Ireland.
