On April 1, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis took part in the official opening ceremony of the new premises of the Embassy of Ireland in Ukraine. The event took place as part of the first visit to Ukraine by Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Minister of Defence, Helen McEntee, as well as the celebration of the 34th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Ireland.

Yevhen Perebyinis emphasized the importance of expanding Ireland’s diplomatic presence in Ukraine and the opening of the new Embassy premises. He expressed hope that the work of the diplomatic mission’s team would contribute to the active development of bilateral relations and continued support for Ukraine.

The Deputy Minister also expressed gratitude to Ireland and the Irish people for their consistent support of Ukraine since the first days of Russia’s full-scale aggression, and highlighted the dynamic development of Ukrainian-Irish relations. Yevhen Perebyinis noted the importance of the first official visit of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to Ireland in December 2025, as well as the launch of a strategic dialogue between the two countries, the second round of which took place today in Kyiv under the co-chairmanship of the heads of the foreign policy agencies of Ukraine and Ireland.
