On 26 October 2014 at the polling station number 900027 at the Embassy of Ukraine in Ireland Parliamentary elections were held.
For Ukrainian Community in Ireland the elections turned into a real feast. The atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy reigned over the polling station. Ukrainian Nationals in Ireland came to Dublin from different Irish areas with a vehement will to vote for a new, democratic and European Ukraine.
Turnout in Dublin was 57.3%.
341 Ukrainians took part in the voting. This is 3.5 times higher than at parliamentary elections in 2012. The elections were conducted in compliance with national laws and international standards.
A Group ‘Samopomich’ had the majority of votes at the polling station – 88 (25.8%). Other parties had the following results: ‘The Petro Poroshenko’s bloc’ – 76 (22.3%), ‘The People’s Front’ – 75 (22%), ‘The Right Sector’ – 29 (8.5%), ‘The Svoboda’ – 25 (7.3%), ‘The Civic Position’ – 25 (7.3%), ‘The Motherland’ – 7 (2.1%).
