Congratulations to Svitlana Barandych from Ukraine on winning in a nomination for the best actor in a female role at the Richard Harris International Film Festival (RHIFF) in Limerick (Ireland) on 22-28 October 2019 for her outstanding performance in a short film Anna.
Anna is a sad story about hardships of a lone mother living in a small industrial town enveloped in a war in the east of Ukraine, desperate dreams of better life as well as difficult choice among values of life.
The RHIFF proved to be fortunate for Ukrainian artists as it has been already the second year in a row that they receive its awards. In 2018, Ukrainian “Stolen Princess” directed by Oleh Malamuzh was recognised the best feature film of the fest.
