Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Gryshchenko participated in the 19th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Dublin

The official delegation of Ukraine headed by the minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Gryshchenko took part in the 19th OSCE Ministerial Council (Dublin, 6-7 December 2012).

As part of his participation in the Ministerial K.Gryshchenko held a series of bilateral meetings, spoke at the plenary session of the OSCE Ministerial Council, and held the final session of the OSCE Ministerial Council in the quality of the Acting Chairman of the OSCE in 2013.

In his speech at the plenary session, he outlined the key priorities of Ukraine's Chairmanship in the Organization in 2013, among which were settlement of protracted conflicts, strengthening of confidence building measures and security in the OSCE area, energy security, promotion of the economic development, including the development of new trade and transport corridors.

The Minister welcomed consensus achieved by the OSCE participating states on launching the “Helsinki 40” process – an initiative aimed at implementation of the strategic priorities of the Organization before 2015, when the OSCE will celebrated 40th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act.

For the first time in the framework of the OSCE the Statement on the Transnistrian settlement negotiations in the "5+2" was approved. Ukraine is actively involved in this process as a mediator and guarantor of a peaceful settlement.

The participants expressed their unanimous support for Ukraine's Chairmanship of the OSCE in 2013 and confirmed their readiness to assist Ukraine in implementing the agenda of the Organization.

The delegations agreed to hold the 20th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council on 5-6 December 2013 in Kyiv.
