On 17 January 2013 the Ukrainian-Irish inter-ministerial consultations on European integration issues were held in Dublin. The Ukrainian delegation was led by the Director General of the Department of the European Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Vsevolod Chentsov. The Irish delegation was headed by the Director General of the Europe Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Ms. Anne Barrington.

The Ukrainian Side presented its vision of Ukraine's cooperation priorities with the European Union during Ireland’s Presidency of the EU (January – June 2013). In this regard the importance of holding the next EU-Ukraine Summit (Brussels, 25 February 2013) as well as signing of the Association Agreement between EU and Ukraine in 2013 was emphasized.

The Irish Side reiterated its support to Ukraine’s European aspirations and expressed its readiness to cooperate with Ukraine during its Presidency of the EU.
