On 26 May 2011 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Ireland H.E. Mr. Sergii Reva met with the Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann, Mr. Sean Barrett T.D.

During the conversation Mr.Sergii Reva expressed satisfaction on the present stay of Ukraine-Ireland relations, as well as of a bilateral interparliamentary dialogue. The Ambassador noted that the Ceann Comhairle is expected to pay a visit to Ukraine after an appropriate invitation by H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, was forwarded to the Irish Side.

Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann underlined Ireland’s substantial interest in cooperation with Ukraine and expressed his commitment for promoting of the interparliamentary dialogue.

Mr.S.Barrett noted that he received Mr. Lytvyn’s invitation with gratitude and explored a possibility of his visit to Ukraine in the future.
