On 28 May 2014 speaking at the presentation of the Finnish diplomat and political analyst J. Iloniemi in the Institute of International and European Affairs on the topic «Ukraine: A singular event or the beginning of a new era in East-West relations?» the Ambassador of Ukraine to Ireland Sergii Reva, touched upon the latest developments in the Eastern Ukraine.
He, in particular, emphasized that Ukraine today faced not the internal civil conflict but aggression from Russia.
Noting that these developments are an evidence of continuation of Russia’s aggressive actions after the occupation and annexation of Crimea, the Ambassador stressed the need to unite efforts of the whole European community of nations to curb the Kremlin’s expansionist policy.
